Individual Counselling

Because you deserve more than just coping.

Something brought you here. Maybe it’s the pattern that keeps showing up no matter how much you understand it. Maybe it’s the anxiety that’s been running in the background for so long it feels like part of your personality. Maybe something happened or a lot of somethings happened and you’ve been carrying it quietly ever since.


You don’t need to have the words for it yet. You just need to show up.


What individual counselling with me actually looks like:


Sessions are 60–90 minutes. We work at a pace that your nervous system can actually handle which means we don’t push through. We don’t force. We go at the speed of trust.


We use a combination of somatic awareness, parts based work, and trauma informed approaches including EMDR when appropriate. 


That means we work with your body, not just your mind. Because real change doesn’t happen only in your head. It happens in the nervous system, in the patterns, in the parts of you that learned to survive long before you had words for any of it.

Safety

Before anything else, we create safety. In the room, in your body, in the relationship between us. Nothing real can happen without it. This isn’t a step we rush through, it’s the foundation everything else is built on.


Parts Work

We meet the parts of you that have been running the show. The people pleaser, the perfectionist, the one who shuts down, the one who’s always bracing for impact. We don’t try to get rid of them. We get curious about them because every single one showed up for a reason.


Emotional Release 

When it’s safe enough, the body starts to let go of what it’s been holding. This isn’t about forcing emotion or performing healing. It’s about creating enough space that what needs to move finally can.


Rewrite the Story

The narrative you’ve been living inside isn’t the only one available to you. Once we understand where it came from and what it was protecting, we can begin to write something truer. Something that belongs to who you actually are not who you learned to be.


Integration 

This is where the work becomes your life. Not a session, not a concept, something you actually carry with you. We weave it into how you move through your days, your relationships, your body, your choices.

These five pillars aren’t a checklist. They’re not linear. They weave through every session, every conversation, every moment of this work together. Wherever you are this is where we begin.

How I work:

Polyvagal informed therapy  understanding how your nervous system shapes your responses, your relationships, and your sense of safety. Not as a concept. As something you can actually feel and work with.

Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed) 

meeting the parts of you that have been running the show. The perfectionist, the people pleaser, the one who shuts down. We don’t try to get rid of them. We get curious about them. Because every single one showed up for a reason.

Somatic EMDR 

 working with the body’s stored experience. Your body remembers things your mind has moved on from. Somatic EMDR helps release what’s been held there so you can actually move forward.

60 minute session - $140

90 minute session - $210

Counselling services may be covered under your extended health benefits plan. Check with your provider to confirm your coverage. I provide receipts for reimbursement.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t direct bill insurance at this time. However, many extended health benefit plans include coverage for counselling services. Check with your provider to see if your plan covers a Registered Professional Counsellor.  I’ll provide a receipt after each session for you to submit for reimbursement.


Most clients start with weekly or biweekly sessions. We’ll figure out what makes sense for you based on what you’re working through and your capacity.


The first session is just us getting to know each other. No agenda, no pressure, no homework. Just a conversation. You set the pace from the very first session.


Individual counselling is one on one and goes at your pace, more private and deeply tailored to you. Growing Into You is a group program that adds the power of community and shared experience. Some women do both. We can talk through what feels right for where you’re at.
